I said Staunton; not stuntin

Last week I joined friends to watch my new favorite artist (and friend) Staunton perform at the Jammin Java! You can listen to his rock music on the band's website. The venue is an intimate space where most attendees sit at long tables or in a small sectioned off general area. There's plenty to eat and drink, but I opted for a bottle of seasonal wine (~$20) and split it with a friend. You can get a nice view of the stage from almost anywhere in the room. This night was a huge change from my usual ventures at U Street Music Hall to see Majid Jordan or Echostage to watch my favorite DJ perform a set. I'm secretly a sucker for acoustic sounds, so how could I say no to watching a friend play on a weeknight evening. I geared up for a cozy night in my favorite Keep It Bright crewneck. With the recent wacky weather, I rolled up the sleeves when I felt too warm and snuggled inside when cold winds blustered through the area. I styled the sweatshirt with a knee-length dress I picked up on sale at American Apparel. It has a nice shine to it, but most importantly, it's ultra-stretchy making it comfortable for an all-day attire. I sported my triple black NikeLab Roshes since I thought the texture went well with the pinch of shine in my dress and the metallic typography on the sweater. Cap: Anti Social Social Club.Crewneck: Keep It Bright.Dress: American Apparel.Sneakers: Nike Roshe One.
