Can we get much HIGHer?
When Justin and I were snowed in Atlanta, we decided to take use the time to venture to somewhat crowded weekend venues. We walked from the Hilton Atlanta all the way to the High Museum of Art Atlanta. On the top level, the prized exhibit holds bold fashion designs by Iris van Herpen in the "Transforming Fashion" exhibition. It's filled with mannequins clocked in astonishing high-end outfits. You can even touch some of the materials she used ranging from 3-D printed material to hardened pieces of foil. The museum also screens a fashion show on a large screen.A number of pieces surround the outskirts of the current exhibition including this one-of-a-kind KAWS painting. It's the first time I encountered the beauty! The piece below is one of my favorites created by Gerhard Richter. The eleven panes of glass create a mirror-like appearance with slight blurs to edges. The High Museum of Art is located on 1280 Peachtree Street, N.E. in Atlanta, GA. Tickets cost $19.50.
