After lacking for almost a whole week, I finally returned home last night with a wonderful flight with British Airways. I travelled in a new aircraft with the best spot, aisle seat in the first row of the middle section. My flight remained peaceful throughout the trip and I managed to watch Cinderella, Hot Pursuit, True Story and Insurgent. Thanks for a delightful flight BA and you'll see me in the future! In case you haven't read previous posts, I ventured to Oxford University for my cousin (Founder of Heroine Training) Xandra's wedding. Of course, no trip is complete without Gloomy Bear right by my side. While hotel options didn't come cheap, my family and I stayed on campus at Keble College. An old dorm-turned-hotel, we found accommodations perfect and cheap with rooms ranging from £65-70 per night for two twin singles, breakfast buffet, wifi and more.Established 919 years ago, University of Oxford offers magnificent architecture both in and out of campus. With tall buildings surrounding a pristine garden, the interior sounds quiet with barely anyone in sight despite numerous conferences and a sold-out hotel. The buildings look straight out of a Harry Potter movie and after looking around, you can easily see the resemblance (and possibly spots where Warner Bros. filmed). The texture against all the bricks aligned perfectly with the towering castle-like walls can be stared at all day. With a bit of a drizzle, I grabbed my Sweat the Crew (by Sweat the Style's Adrianne Ho) pullover and Uniqlo joggers before strolling through the college campus. I've been hoping for colder weather in the District, but sadly we're still living in the land of the 80 degree temperatures. When will the leaves start changing and when can I utilize all my fall favorites? In this local area, everyone walked distances far and long. Paths remain well-lit through darkened, cold nights making a late night walk home safe.Stay comfy and cozy, especially for those 3+ hour flights. I must say, it's great to be home, but I already miss waking up to this view every morning.Pullover: Sweat the Crew by Adrianne Ho.Joggers: Uniqlo.Sneakers: Nike Roshe One.
