The members of k-pop women group BLACKPINK are announcing big individual brand partnerships/campaigns in the sneaker industry.
Jennie unveils the Edison Chen clot Gazelle sneaker collaboration with adidas Originals
This past month, Jennie Kim debuted the new Adidas Originals x Clot Gazelle. The new silhouette features a molded outsole stitched to the upper with traditional espadrille stitching. Hand-embroidered glass beaded stripes, the campaign invites use on a journey through our imagination celebrating exploration and innovation. This campaign released on the heels of Jennie closing out the Jacquemus Paris fashion show (Jacquemus is currently partnered with Nike).
Puma announces Rosé as the new Global Brand Ambassador bringing her vision, voice, and unique insights to the brand’s global campaigns and storytelling.
A teaser video released this week for Rosé’s Puma announcement that she is now the new Global Brand Ambassador. Naturally my love for aviation had be giddy with joy when I watched. Rosé will support Puma’s iconic silhouettes and the “Rewriting the Classics,” kicking off the partnership with the Puma Palermo, an iconic low-top sneaker.

In 2023, BLACKPINK starred in the adidas Originals “Home of the Classics” campaign. While it’s unclear if Jisoo and Lisa have partnerships in the works with other sneaker brands (can you believe Zendaya signed with on Running?!), I can imagine Lisa signing with Solomon. However, her Instagram feed littered with only luxury fashion as of lately (assumingly due to her recent dating announcement with Frédéric Arnault, CEO of Tag Heuer), it doesn’t seem like an organic fit. Perhaps she could be the new face of Balenciaga’s Triple S? Meanwhile I could see Jisoo gravitate towards Vans or even alo as the company ventures into the sneaker industry. She’s even teased a few photos of herself in alo clothing.
Only time will tell. Will you be picking up sneakers by any or all of the BLACKPINK members?
