Dragon Boat Festival

I rowed my way down the Potomac River on a cloudy Saturday afternoon with a team of active militants, retired veterans and a few friends. Why? In celebration of Asian Pacific American Month, I wanted to not only give back to the community, but also explore a different culture. I learned a bit about the festival and its roots from Taiwanese culture.  After weeks of preparation, our team, Full Metal Dragons, won third place out of 40+ teams.If you're interested in rowing next year, let me know and we can paddle together!
