Market meals

A plethora of eateries fill Union Market DC's floor. Craving Asian? Try TaKorean's tacos filled with bulgogi, kimchi and more. How about seafood? Order a few Chesapeake oysters from Rappahannock Oyster Bar. Last week, I decided to try something different and picked DC Dosa. I put tons of vegetables and ordered a Mung Lentil. The two ladies cooked it right in front of me by creating a crepe-like texture before topping it with onions and cilantro.A side of mango habanero, cilantro sesame and onion tamarind came on the side. They added a nice touch of flavor to some of the blander vegetables.Justin wanted a burger so we chose Red Apron where there's beers on tap and plenty of meats for your choosing. He chose a chorizo burger that came with avocado, pickled onions and sour cream in between two warm buns. Nate's fries, which is fried in aged beef fat, came with grilled garlic cloves, sea salt and rosemary.  Yum. Union Market is located at 1309 5th St NE.
