Saturday at the Market
When I heard Mr. Brainwash painted a mural in The District, I made a point to add it to my weekend adventures. I finally made time to stroll in the city after all my recent travel.Union Market thrives with young adults crowding the surrounding area. The only times I visited include the Tanqueray Trunk Show and the Gilt City Warehouse, both more than a year ago. Recently, the market opened its doors to a number of pop-ups that I've been wanting to check out, as well as the general floor of cuisines from all around the city. Before popping inside, my friends and I walked around from the left side of the building to the right where several large murals fill the Union Market building's exterior. As I walked closer to the artwork, I saw other fashionistas and small groups of friends snapping pictures. The below is by far one of my favorite shots with Justin (thanks to Chris' photography skills). He captured our expressionless facades against the bright mural. One of the best features about Union Market: free parking! It's a highly sought out feature in a heavily populated city that can't be beat. Stay tuned for my next post featuring DC Dosa.I'll be back in the area for No Kings Collective's unveiling of The Beasts of England at Lab1270. Hope to see you there!https://youtu.be/733wsV2Rm6Q Shirt: UNIF.Sunglasses: Nicole Miller.Jacket: Vince Camuto.Leggings: Kendall & Kylie.Sneakers: FENTY x Puma.
