Toronto
It's been awhile since I posted, I've been dabbling with creating YouTube videos and created one while recently exploring Toronto, Canada.A few weeks ago, my public relations skills managed to get my sister's boyfriend, Thomas Hong, into The Baltimore Sun and University of Maryland's Diamondback after he made the U.S. national speed-skating team. We decided to book a last-minute flight to Canada to watch the World Cup II.
In honor of traveling to Drake's hometown, I sported my "SIX" shirt and my pink cap from the Anti Social Social Club. As always, I threw my mini UNIF backpack across my back and finally broke in my 3.1 Phillip Lim sneakers.
We spent most of the day at the MasterCard Centre, but stopped by BarChef for late-night cocktails.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuevvOYcY6kBarChef is an dimly lit cocktail restaurant that serves "creative" beverages that will make your jaw drop. I started off with a Strawberry and Lavender, while Jenna sipped a Rocket. They both had refreshing tastes with its sweet and sour notes.
Above is the Essence of Fall, a bourbon-based drink served in a spherical glass surrounded by a forest. Dry ice spewed from all sides of the drink making it seem that you stumbled upon a piece of heaven in the woods. Below, the Sailor's Mojito embodied summer vibes within the plate. Served with vanilla dry ice (which you can't actually taste), the cocktail has tons of mint and lime juice. A jelly-like substance waits to be slurped before drinking the night away.
Finally, I met J.R. Celski right before leaving. He's easily the most humble and nicest Olympic athlete. His Roshe game is on point.
I'll be back in the six...perhaps when it's a bit warmer!
