Lash Blast

The kind of look I like the most with mascaras is wide-eyed, curled, but not too thick lashes. Usually my lashes droop down as the day passes because of my thick, stick-straight lashes. I usually go for waterproof mascaras because the wax in the formula helps keep my curl.Mascara-JustSouledOutI've been on the hunt for the perfect mascaras ever and here are my top four:

1. The Super Sizer by Lashblast Waterproof Mascara - Covergirl $6.85
I discovered this new mascara in the beginning of summer and it immediately became my holy grail mascara. It claims to "give you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for fanned out, full eyelashes" and it absolutely does! This mascara is the best, both drugstore and high-end, that has been able to keep my curl through the day. It thickens my lashes just enough to still look natural (I like to apply one coat only) and will continue to thicken if you want to add more coats. The more coats you add, it will tend to clump however. Just one coat will separate lashes perfectly. It lengthens, volumizes, and I simply am in love with it.
2. Volum' Express Pumped Up! Colossal Waterproof Mascara - Maybelline $7.77
Maybelline has the largest mascara inventory out there, but this mascara always seems to be the one that I pick up first. This gives a more naturally lengthened and volumized lash look, but it works nonetheless beautifully. It doesn't thicken my lashes from beginning to end, but sometimes I will prefer that. This mascara probably hits first place in terms of clumping, however. This mascara will never clump on my lashes, making application effortless.
3. Lights, Camera, Lashes - tarte $21
This is my favorite high-end mascara. It gives an easily thicker lash look, and volumizes the most out of my top five, but it doesn't lengthen significantly. When I want defined lashes, but not extremely lengthened, I'll pick this up. It's not the best for keeping my curl, but it really thickens my lashes, making the white of my eyes look more white, leaving the finished look with awake and refreshed looking eyes. A very good night-out mascara that pairs nicely with a smokey eye.
4. The Roller Lash Mascara - Benefit $24
This mascara was extremely hyped up upon its release, so I was very excited to try it out. It claims "Roller Lash not only lifts and super-curls, but this instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours, is easy to remove, and contains provitamin B5 and serine, known for their lash-conditioning benefits." It also claims that its formula can curl your lashes without the eyelash curler! While it's not exactly wrong about that, it didn't give me the curl that I like. I have faith in it for someone with thinner lashes, though. The formula is noticeably wet, so I will usually put two coats. Don't do more than two unless you want the really thick lash look. Very easy to take off - not waterproof but no smudging. Solid, but not my absolute favorite.
