Soaking up some Vitamin D in late November.

When you encounter a 65 degree day at the end of November, you relish in the fact that you sadly received a a handful of days embodying crisp, autumn air before reveling in the sunlight. Although I bundled up with my new teddy bear coat, I half wore it as the darker brown complemented my most recent pickup from Kith’s Monday Program. I snagged this hoodie for my sister and her boyfriend, and of course, my husband, while learning that the Kith stores receive the bulk of quantity in comparison to its availability online (duh!).

I completed this look with my Puma Desert Thunders as the pale pink tones went with the light-colored tans in my  outfit. For an extra shine, I snagged my rose gold purse, which my good friend (often referred to as my cousin) gifted me for being her bridesmaid.

Puma Thunder Desert

The perfect chunky sneaker for fall.

Summer, please leave. We need fall now.

Puma recently launched its newest mainstream silhouette, the Thunder Desert sneaker. An addition to the chunky “dad” footwear trend, the shoe has an eye-catching appearance with its mixture of leather, mesh and suede textures. The Thunder Desert comes complete with its chunky sole, which emulates a 1990s cell-system running shoe. I personally love footwear with pull tabs because I’m constantly on the run. The faster I can pull off my kicks, the better.

One aspect that stood out to me upon receiving these sneakers: the lace-up style. Perhaps it’s the thick-roped laces that drew my eyes to the way it’s uniquely threaded. You can choose to either tie a cute bow, or find a way to loop the laces into the tongue. I opted for the Natural Vachetta colorway, although Puma also released this in a Smoke Green tone.

It’s exciting to see how brands cater to the latest fashion trends with different styles that embody each company. You can buy what’s left of Puma’s inventory, or check out suppliers such as Nordstrom, Six02 or Lady Foot Locker to cop in time for leafy season.

Ps. I realized how tan I am while taking these pictures 😂

Work it, gurl

No sear sucker, but the summer vibes are present.

Summer heat is here.

In an effort to ditch the denim skinny jeans, I styled this Young Hungry Free dress with my Careaux x Puma sneakers. The variety of blue hues on the footwear contrasted with the black and white stripes. The appearance looks like sear sucker material, but alas it is a cotton polyester blend. The off-the-shoulder, straight cut on the dress makes the outfit less pajama-like and more fashion forward. For that city chic appearance, I added a baseball cap for a lighter shade on top.

Additionally, No Kings Collective painted this mural earlier this month. You can find the 30,000 sq ft artwork in the 14th St corridor of DC. For more information about the mural, read this Washingtonian article.

FENTY Trainer Hi

Rihanna releases a new sneaker in collaboration with Puma.

I fell in loves with these sneakers the moment I saw them! The FENTY x Puma line released jelly slides just in time for summer, but a week later the company also opened orders for these Trainer Hi shoes to the public. The sesame color makes it versatile for all your summer needs. Check out my unboxing below and let me know your thoughts.

Cherry blossom season

FENTY x spring cherry blossoms.

Whoever deemed Christmas as the “most wonderful time of the year” clearly never saw how beautiful DC becomes when all the cherry blossoms come out in full bloom. Rihanna released her beautiful pink bow sneakers that fit the palette of the flowers in the area. I’m working on a video to showcase a few styles for this shoe (preview below), so stay tuned!

Pretty in pink

A hint of velvet with these silky FENTY x Puma sneakers.

I picked up the FENTY x Puma Bow sneakers on release day (March 9) and immediately filmed an unboxing video at home.  In the hopes of spotting some cherry blossoms, I ventured to this path in Reston, but only found a few flowers just beginning to bud. I styled my velvet pink shirt with my favorite leggings. For additional black accents, I topped off this outfit with this black and gold OVO cap I picked up from my recent New York venture.

Cap: OVO.

Shirt: BP.

Vest: Nordstrom.

Leggings: BCBG.

Sneakers: FENTY x Puma Bow.
