Soaking up some Vitamin D in late November.

When you encounter a 65 degree day at the end of November, you relish in the fact that you sadly received a a handful of days embodying crisp, autumn air before reveling in the sunlight. Although I bundled up with my new teddy bear coat, I half wore it as the darker brown complemented my most recent pickup from Kith’s Monday Program. I snagged this hoodie for my sister and her boyfriend, and of course, my husband, while learning that the Kith stores receive the bulk of quantity in comparison to its availability online (duh!).

I completed this look with my Puma Desert Thunders as the pale pink tones went with the light-colored tans in my  outfit. For an extra shine, I snagged my rose gold purse, which my good friend (often referred to as my cousin) gifted me for being her bridesmaid.

Pool boost

Styling the Kith x Naked Adidas City Sock 2 NMDs.

If you don’t follow me on social media, then you wouldn’t know that I’ve spent the past two weeks in sunny Florida. I luckily avoided a blizzard, but sadly missed the cherry blossom peak in DC.

In an effort to create more videos this year, I styled the Kith x Naked Adidas City Sock 2 NMD by the pool. A cold front surrounded the area, which meant cozying up in this pastel hoodie. The light brown tones on the sneakers complement the top half of my outfit, while the leggings and shirt underneath contrast against the hues.

Back to the cold

With the City Sock 2.

Shots of me by TheKevinJ.

While we flung into spring momentarily, the weather quickly cooled down to a mere 30 degrees in the DC area. After a quick photoshoot with TheKevinJ, we ran outside for a chilly minute. I styled one of my newest kicks with darker tones for a winter-like feel.

Dress: Zara.

Knee-High Socks: Forever 21.

Sneakers: KITH x Naked x Adidas City Sock 2, Sandstone.

Mighty Morphin

Styled the KITH x Power Rangers hoodie for a sunny day on the National Mall.

Photos by TheKevinJ (except for the last one :P).

Winter came late this year, which meant taking advantage of sunny skies especially on the weekends. I gathered with friends at Maketto for a meeting before visiting the National Mall and Washington Monument, two places I haven’t been to for more than a decade. Despite the large crowds, we managed to capture a few shots without hoards of tourists swarming the area. I finally sported the KITH x Power Rangers pink hoodie I purchased a few weeks before this shoot. The cropped sweatshirt paired perfectly with my high-waisted black jeans and tan Yeezys.

As always, a special thank you to TheKevinJ for this shoot.

Views above Union Market

Met with DC photographer Donnie Gerald.

All photos by Donnie Gerald

After gushing over how beautiful Donnie Geralds images (and Instagram) for weeks, we ended up meeting on a hot, summer day at Union Market. We explored the area and ended up climbing a staircase about four or five flights up to see a beautiful view of NoMa.

There’s always something special about film photographs. I’m forever in love with his work and amazed how we captured me against all the white shades surrounding me.

Check him out!

Summer fell into fall

October means REAL pumpkin spice lattes and sneakerboots coming out to play.

All photos by TheKevinJ.

I’m finally able to whip out my tights, sneakerboots and my fleece goods as temperatures continue to drop. Goodbye summer, you won’t be missed.

If you read my recent article on Stereo Champions about the coziest sneakers for the season, then you’ll easily recognize these Huarache Airs. It seems that Nike quietly released these shoes (as the company does with all women footwear) earlier this season. It’s ever-so-slowly selling out after pictures on the internet and the gram appear.

KITH mentioned the size runs small, but almost all Huaraches do. It’s possibly from the heel sculpting around the bone, rather than a plush cotton surrounding the foot, that makes sizing different from other check-marked sneakers.

Rose gold jewelry goes perfect with the red-hued leaves falling from trees. These are my two favorite pieces, one from Asos (given my Kevin Assié way back when) and the other from MK by Michael Kors (given by Vivi Star who’s birthday is coming up).
