A lone boat
We moved to Philadelphia! Justin and I are excited to experience a new city and live together after four years of enduring a long-distance relationship. While I have a bit of a content delay, we finally set up our desktop computer so when I want to take a break from the endless organizing and unpacking I now have a creative outlet. Meanwhile, Justin has reached what seems like new levels in Call of Duty as he typically plays while I edit, illustrate, sketch, or whatever productive activity I throw myself into.
This past weekend we celebrated Memorial Day weekend by dreaming about long walks on the beach, rather than actually doing so. I created an abstract poster and played with texture overlays to give a different feel. The lonely boat in the middle of the sea sits idly by as the sun sets on a beach horizon β a nod to how lonely quarantining can often feel as all the days pass us by.
