Celebrating four years

My husband and I have been waiting for Jean-Georges Philadelphia to open ever since the pandemic started. We finally made our way over to celebrate our four year anniversary. Inside the Four Seasons Philadelphia, guests take an elevator to the top of the skyscraper where you’re met with a beautiful orchid-filled lobby. We went down a fight of stairs surrounded by a small waterfall giving the space an upscale, romantic ambience. Our six-course meal included additional small bites and several desserts. Was it worth the $198? Absolutely, but it should be noted that while most fine dining restaurants that require a tasting menu will now include tip and tax in the listed price. JG is not one of those businesses, so it felt quite abrupt to see a higher price than originally expected. It still doesn’t take away from this decadent experience that we enjoyed together. Even the rain provided an ever-changing background as we gazed across the city while the sunset.
